WWE star Triple H appears to offer Elon Musk advice for potential cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg

  • Elon Musk said on Monday that he was "going with WWE as my fighting style."
  • That prompted Triple H to offer his advice and joke about his characteristic "X" celebration.
  • Although doubts have been cast on a potential bout with Mark Zuckerberg.

Triple H, the former WWE star and current chief creative officer for the company, appeared to offer Elon Musk his help ahead of a potential bout with Mark Zuckerberg.

Musk reposted a wrestling clip on Monday, adding the caption "Am going with WWE as my fighting style."

"Say the word," replied Triple H. "I know a thing or two about making an X sign."

The retired wrestler attached a gif of himself performing his characteristic "crotch chop" celebration — jokingly comparing it to Musk's controversial X sign that was erected on the roof of his company's headquarters before attracting complaints for its strobe lighting.

Triple H's own "X sign" has provoked some disputes too: Joel Embiid, the Philadelphia 76er, was fined $25,000 by the NBA in January after his version of this celebratory move was deemed "obscene."

But hopefully, Triple H is offering fighting tips instead of encouraging Musk to deploy the same gesture.

Musk has already trained with former UFC champion Georges St-Pierre, although doubts have since been cast on whether a bout will actually take place.

Zuckerberg posted on Threads on Sunday that he wasn't "holding his breath" because Musk is yet to agree to his proposed date of August 26. "I'm ready today," the Meta CEO added.

Musk then announced that he might need surgery before a fight can take place and said he is due to have an MRI scan of his neck and back.

X and WWE did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.
