Balenciaga has carpeted a London store in pink faux fur to celebrate its popular Le Cagole line — take a look
Balenciaga's store in London's Mayfair has been swathed in pink, faux fur.
The fashion giant updated the store's interior to celebrate its Le Cagole line.
The store's surfaces will remain blanketed in pink until May 18.
The Balenciaga store in London's Mayfair district is now wrapped in pink, faux fur.
The store's interior — including the shelves, seating, and floors — has been entirely blanketed in the material to celebrate the fashion giant's Le Cagole line.
The store is located in the exclusive neighborhood of Mayfair, London. The interiors will remain decked in the bright, furry material until May 18.
A staff member told Insider that it took three nights to complete the store's furry pink transformation.
The furry pop-up store is currently only selling Le Cagole items. The popular line isn't new, one worker told Insider, but has been extended to include more bags, shoes, and purses.
The name of the line is derived from a French slang word meaning "over-the-top attitude," according to architecture and design magazine, Dezeen.
The exuberant pink interior is a nod to the style of the early 2000s, one worker at the store told Insider.
The Le Cagole bag was designed by the fashion giant's creative director, Demna Gvasalia. It's a revamp of Balenciaga's famous Motorcycle bag which was released in 2001 by then creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiere.
The price of the bags ranges from £1,450 ($1,818) to around £2,200 ($2,758), although this exclusive item would set you back £4,900 ($6,143), according to a store worker.
Shoes in the line range from £625 ($784) to £1,550 ($1,994) for a pair of boots.
The studs and other trimmings on the accessories mimic the Motorcycle bags which were popular in the early 2000s. The heart-shaped tags are also a nod to early 2000s fashion, according to an employee at the store.
Balenciaga plans to use the displays for future projects and is currently looking for different ways to reuse the faux fur, the fashion house told Dezeen.
"We are currently researching the best way in which we can donate the faux fur so that it can be reused in manufacturing toys, for example," Balenciaga told the publication.
